Marimekko is a Finnish textile and fashion design company that is well known for their bold use of color and prints. With plans to open their first flagship store in the US in the fall of 2011, Marimekko approached Method to help them design the commerce site that would launch with the grand opening.

We also created a teaser video for the store launch that focused on Aino-Maija Metsola's (one of Marimekko's textile designers) illustrative interpretation of New York City, never having been there herself. Her illustrations were used to wrap the construction site of the store which is located across the street from the historic Flatiron building.
